Who we are
Home Comfort Enterprises Ltd — HCE for short — is a UK solar installation company. We fit solar panels, battery storage, inverters, EV chargers and air conditioning — and offer air source heat pumps — for homeowners who want lower bills and more say over where their energy comes from.
The paperwork first, because it is worth checking any installer's: the company was incorporated on 21 March 2021, is registered in England and Wales as Company No. 13281337, and has its registered office in London. All of that is on the public record at Companies House, and we would encourage you to look — a company you can verify is the starting point for a purchase this size.
The day-to-day is simpler than the paperwork. We have one way of working, and it is on every page of this site: no pressure, just clear advice. Solar is a considered purchase. Our job is to give you the information to make a good decision — including telling you if solar is not right for your home — and then to install properly if you decide to go ahead.

Every job follows the same three steps.
It starts with a conversation, not a sales visit. We ask about your home, your energy usage and what you want to achieve — and you get straight answers about whether solar stacks up for you. Then comes the survey and design: we assess your property and design a system tailored to your home, sized around your roof, your usage and your long-term savings. Finally, once you approve the design, our certified installers carry out the installation with minimal disruption — most residential systems are completed within 1–2 days.
Two promises sit underneath those steps. The first is that quotes are free, itemised and carry no obligation — you will see what you are paying for, line by line, and you can take your time to decide. The second is the one we repeat most: no pressure. If you need a week to think, take a week. If the numbers do not work for your home, we will tell you that too.

HIES Consumer Code
HIES — the Home Insulation and Energy Systems Quality Assured Contractors Scheme — is a consumer protection organisation for the home renewable energy sector, and its consumer code is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. Buying through a HIES member gives you protections that exist precisely because solar is a significant purchase: deposit and stage-payment protection, an insurance-backed guarantee so your written guarantee can still be honoured if an installer ever stops trading, and free access to alternative dispute resolution and an ombudsman if something cannot be resolved directly. The full terms and limits are published by HIES. Our membership number is HCE/A/1392 — you can verify it in seconds on the HIES scheme register.
NAPIT
NAPIT — the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers — is a UKAS-accredited certification body covering electrical and renewable installation work. Registration is not a badge you buy; members must demonstrate their competence and have their work assessed, and a formal complaints procedure stands behind every registered installer. For you, it means the electrical side of a solar, battery or EV charger installation is carried out by an installer whose competence is independently certified and whose work can be certified as compliant with Building Regulations. HCE is NAPIT member 73495 — check the registration for yourself on the NAPIT register.
MCS
MCS — the Microgeneration Certification Scheme — is the UK's quality mark for small-scale renewable technology, covering solar PV and battery storage among others. It certifies at two levels: products must meet defined standards, and installation companies must prove their competence, processes and workmanship to become certified. It matters for a practical reason as well as a quality one: most Smart Export Guarantee tariffs require an MCS-certified installation before your energy supplier will pay you for the electricity you export. HCE is MCS-certified for solar PV and battery storage — certification held via NAPIT (member 73495) — and that keeps this route open to you.
